FARO VENEZIA

Faro Venezia is a non-profit cultural association founded in 2008, bringing together Venetian citizens committed to promoting and implementing the Faro Convention. The association’s mission is to raise community awareness about the importance of cultural heritage for quality of life by organizing activities such as heritage walks, conferences, research, and training.

The focus is on recognizing cultural heritage as a reflection of the values, beliefs, and identity of a community, going beyond its historical and artistic value. Faro Venezia promotes the idea of a “heritage community,” where citizens are actively involved in the preservation and transmission of heritage.

The association collaborates with professionals, associations, and local and international institutions to foster participatory management of cultural heritage and the establishment of heritage commissions.
