MATTEO SEGUSO
Matteo Seguso, born in 1973 in Venice and residing in Murano, the island of glass, inherited the Seguso & Linzi artisan workshop in 1999, founded in 1954 by his father Bruno and partner Paolo Linzi. Initially drawn to the world of glass as a pastime, he transformed this passion into a career, founding “Matteo Seguso Artistic Glass Engraver” in 2006.
Specializing in artistic wheel engraving on glass, he uses traditional techniques to turn each piece into a work of art. His collaboration in 2007 with the renowned artist Lino Tagliapietra introduced him to grinding and the “Battuto” technique, broadening his skills.
His works, created in partnership with prestigious glassworks and international designers, are part of private collections worldwide. Since 2013, he has also conducted engraving courses in the United States and Australia.
