PROJECT
“TEMART”
The project aims to improve the products of the mentioned sectors (both in terms of functionality and aesthetics) by providing access to the various technologies available within the Regional Innovative Network (RIR).
OBJECTIVES
The objective of TEMART is to integrate artistic and formal knowledge with technical and scientific expertise, creating new combinations of aesthetic research, manufacturing technologies, and materials. The project focuses on sectors such as Artistic Manufacturing, Cultural Heritage Restoration, Furniture (especially lighting), Architectural Decoration, Urban Planning, and Design.
TEMART has developed innovative applications of technologies to prototype and produce artistic and design components and products, combining form and material with multifunctionality. Special attention is given to additive manufacturing technologies, which are applied to a wide range of materials. Innovation also extends to surfaces through the use of nanotechnologies, photonic technologies, and additive manufacturing on a nanometric scale.
The project aims to create a collaborative Decision Support System (DSS) to assist businesses and research centers in the Veneto region in integrating the studied technologies and processes. The DSS incorporates the know-how generated through experimentation activities, enabling the formalization of the technical and operational capabilities of the network. It supports decision-making by identifying technological alternatives, modeling industrial processes, and analyzing investments, costs, and competencies needed to guide companies toward the production of new products, ensuring technical and economic feasibility, efficiency, and competitiveness.
PROJECT RESULTS
The TEMART project involved all partners in the in-depth study of nine macro-industrial cases, divided into various subcases, with the goal of integrating artistic and scientific knowledge. Areas of investigation included the replication of artistic artifacts, naval and commercial furnishings, smart lighting, crucibles, stone modules, wood-burning cookers, table-lifting mechanisms, and the development of cement-based mortars.
For each case, materials, technologies, and functional tests were studied to achieve the desired innovation. Key focus areas included additive manufacturing, the application of nanotechnologies and photonics, and the optimization of industrial processes. The ultimate goal is to develop a collaborative Decision Support System (DSS) to guide companies and research centers in the development and integration of innovative technologies and processes, ensuring technical and economic feasibility, efficiency, and competitiveness.
The total eligible expenditure amounts to €4,987,374.31, and the granted contribution is €2,430,030.39.
