These molds are typically made of wood, iron, or bronze. This initiative aims to leverage additive manufacturing for the creation of variable-sized molds at sustainable costs, even for small production batches.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The initiative aims to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Utilize<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>additive manufacturing<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>to produce molds of varying dimensions at affordable costs, even for limited runs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Upgrade workers\u2019 skills<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>related to digital technologies to optimize operations and provide more in-depth, accessible, sustainable, and immediately actionable project information to businesses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Project Objectives:<\/strong><br \/>Support the competitiveness of the Murano Glassmaking sector by integrating<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>culture, tradition, and creativity<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>with<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>digital technologies<\/strong>, in line with sustainability and green transition goals.<br \/>These innovations have been developed as part of the<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>\u201cD3VeRo\u201d<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span>project, with contributions from universities across the Veneto region.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Target Audience:<\/strong><br \/>The primary recipients are the professionals from partner companies within the EUTEKNOS artistic manufacturing network, with particular focus on<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>artistic glassmaking businesses in Murano<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>and those involved in<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>additive manufacturing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Types of Interventions:<\/strong><br \/>The<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>training, coaching, and support activities<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>will be tailored to the specific needs expressed by the participating companies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Training activities<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(including group classroom sessions and practical workshops\/project work) may cover:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Corporate sustainability<\/li>\n<li>Energy efficiency<\/li>\n<li>3D modeling and design tools<\/li>\n<li>Digital design<\/li>\n<li>Additive manufacturing<\/li>\n<li>Network development training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Support activities<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>may include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Individual consulting for strategic innovation support<\/li>\n<li>Workshops on the use of 3D printing for creating molds for Murano artistic glass<\/li>\n<li><em>Action research<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span>to develop improved molds for glass production<\/li>\n<li>A research grant allocated to the<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Department of Industrial Engineering<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>at the<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>University of Padua<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additionally planned:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Networking and coordination meetings<\/li>\n<li>Webinars on the potential of 3D printing<\/li>\n<li>Two events (an opening and a closing event)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Activities may also be delivered remotely (<em>in synchronous mode<\/em>) in accordance with regulatory guidelines.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FESR (European Regional Development Fund) costs<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>are included, accounting for between<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>30% and 50%<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>of the public contribution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Partnership:<\/strong><br \/>Each company participates as a corporate partner.
