Focused particularly on furniture and its accessories, this type of manufacturing today faces a crucial challenge: innovating product design without losing its identity. The two dominant styles of recent decades \u2014 classical and modern \u2014 now appear inadequate in expressing contemporary sensibilities; stripped of meaning, they lack the evocative power that once made them points of reference. Innovation, therefore, is no longer merely a technical matter, but an aesthetic challenge. It is a question of style \u2014 and style is what gives form to thought, what makes a product recognizable, desirable, and authentic.<\/p>\n
Innovation can no longer be viewed as knowledge to be imported from the outside; it must become an internal competency, a widespread awareness, a shared responsibility. The companies participating in the project \u2014 all part of the Euteknos network \u2014 are called upon to reimagine themselves, to reinterpret their own production history using interpretive tools developed specifically for this purpose, designed to identify the distinctive traits of each company\u2019s unique style. This initial analytical phase paves the way for a conscious design process aimed at creating original collections that are coherent with the company\u2019s identity and capable of standing out in the market. The entire process unfolds progressively, from the general to the specific, supported by creative coaching interventions that strengthen the companies\u2019 decision-making abilities in the aesthetic domain.<\/p>\n
The project includes the development of an AI-based virtual assistant, designed to support artisans and designers in defining product style and generating new ideas. This tool does not merely offer standardized solutions; instead, it interacts with the visions, needs, and intuitions of each creative, enabling a new type of collaboration \u2014 synergistic and dynamic. It is an ecosystem where tradition and innovation do not conflict but merge, giving rise to a new form of design intelligence, where the artisan\u2019s manual experience meets the predictive and generative power of digital technologies.<\/p>\n
The project aspires to create the conditions for an open and structured dialogue around aesthetic questions, so that the sector can equip itself with a shared stylistic orientation capable of restoring coherence and authority to its production. The expected outcomes are many and far-reaching: overcoming creative improvisation, developing products with intrinsic appeal, revealing untapped potential, and narrating the identity-driven value of artifacts through storytelling and immersive technologies like virtual and augmented reality.
But above all, SUNRISE represents the discovery \u2014 or perhaps the rediscovery \u2014 of form as a choice, as a thought, as a language. It is the beginning of a new era in which technology does not stifle creativity but unleashes it; in which \u201cVenetian made\u201d reclaims its place on the world stage \u2014 not out of nostalgia for the past, but through the courage to reimagine it through the lens of the present.<\/p>\n
