The Veneto Region, in collaboration with the universities of Veneto, presented the new \u201cSmart Specialisation Strategy\u201d on Friday, July 15, at Palazzo del B\u00f2.<\/strong> The Veneto Region sought to involve various local stakeholders through the so-called \u201centrepreneurial discovery process.\u201d Through the sharing of findings and the active involvement of businesses, regional Innovation Networks (including EUTEKNOS), the research community, public administration, and citizens, the region has outlined key development trajectories that will shape its future development policies.<\/p>\n \u201cVeneto\u2019s productive fabric is made up of micro-enterprises that form a unique ecosystem in Europe. Our companies have shown an extraordinary capacity to recover from crises and represent a true economic model. Despite their size, they are strongly oriented toward innovation and research, one of the region\u2019s key strengths. In the latest assessment by the European Union, Veneto has moved from a \u2018moderate innovator\u2019 to a \u2018strong innovator\u2019\u2014the most rewarding recognition of the progress we\u2019ve made. Veneto is a land of great opportunity; it is attractive, and it must continue to be so. I say this especially to our youth and researchers: go out into the world, gain experience, but then come back to Veneto\u2014a land full of valuable opportunities and great innovative potential.\u201d<\/p>\n These were the words of\u00a0<\/span>Roberto Marcato<\/strong>, Regional Minister for Economic Development, Research and Innovation, and Industry, during his speech this morning at the Aula Magna of the University of Padua.
