Panizzi Eugenio glass grinding workshop was founded in Murano in 1960 by Eugenio Panizzi, originally from Grandate (Como), who began his career at the age of 11, learning glass grinding techniques. After working for several years in Murano, in 1960 Eugenio took over the grinding workshop from his brother-in-law Marco Varisco and started a business specializing in artistic grinding and engraving of Bohemian glass and crystal, highly appreciated internationally.
The company is distinguished by the high quality of its products and attention to detail, characteristics that still persist today. In the 1970s, Eugenio’s sons, Mauro and Franco, joined the business, enriching it with new skills and an innovative approach. In 1985, the company became “Panizzi Eugenio & C. SNC,” introducing new projects to meet the demands of an increasingly discerning clientele.
In 1994, the company invested in installing glass fusing furnaces and perfecting artistic techniques, differentiating itself from traditional Murano practices and winning over more sophisticated customers.
