The Veneto Region, within the framework of Action 1.3.5 of the PR Veneto ERDF 2021–2027 Program, has approved the Operational Provisions for the Start-Up Section of the “Veneto Competitiveness Fund.”
The initiative aims to support the creation and consolidation of new businesses by providing financial support covering 100% of eligible investments, in the form of a zero-interest loan, partially convertible into a non-repayable grant.
BENEFICIARIES
The Fund is divided into two lines:
- Line A: SMEs and self-employed workers based in the Veneto Region, operating for less than three years
- Line B: SMEs selected by qualified entities through a training and support program, also operating for less than three years
ELIGIBLE PROJECTS
Eligible investment programs (to be initiated after application submission) must fall within the manufacturing, services, or commerce sectors and comply with at least one of the following focus areas:
- Innovation
- Digitalization
- Green transition
- Sustainable development aligned with the 2030 Agenda and the Regional Strategy for Sustainable Development
Eligible cost limits:
- Line A: from €20,000 to €75,000
- Line B: from €20,000 to €150,000
TYPE OF SUPPORT
Support is provided in the form of:
- Soft loan: interest-free, no collateral required, covering up to 100% of the investment
- Non-repayable grant:
- Up to 15% for small enterprises
- Up to 10% for medium-sized enterprises
- An additional variable portion of up to 25% may be granted upon meeting specific criteria
After 36 months, part of the loan may be converted into a non-repayable grant, subject to compliance and regular repayment (capital rebate).
APPLICATION SUBMISSION
Applications for funding may be submitted on a rolling basis, as support is granted through an open-call evaluation process.
